Launch readiness

This engineering checklist prevents regulated features from being released prematurely. It is a planning aid—not legal advice, a registration filing, or a substitute for counsel.

Current release mode: educational prototype. Accounts, credit-report uploads, automated correspondence, consumer contracts, and payments are intentionally unavailable.

Business entity

Choose the legal name, confirm availability, form the Texas entity, and obtain an EIN.

Texas CSO review

Have qualified counsel confirm whether the final service model is a credit services organization under Finance Code Chapter 393 and identify any exemption.

SOS registration

If covered, file the CSO registration with the Texas Secretary of State before conducting business; renew annually.

Security filing

Provide proof of required security or the permitted explanation for why security is not required.

Consumer contract

Counsel must approve written contract terms, statutory notices, cancellation form, payment timing, service description, address, Texas agent, and performance period.

Privacy program
